That just looks like a description for one piece to me and I don’t know which County that would be in. Does anyone?? And is it in a town because the “lot 3” sounds like it might be in town but it would usually be followed by a block # ???
Lynden,
I finally got over to get the numbers off of the Cactus signs on your Garvin Co. Paint road. They are #149, 154, and 134 which was the rig that was on our Branch well and then the Mashburn well so I figure it’s a Newfield well. Yep, I just looked at www.drillingahead.com and they are all working for Newfield and are in Grady County like you figured. I wonder if they are having to wait on a rig to finish before moving back down south to the ones in Stephen’s 2n,4w.??? I think we should have bought stock in Cactus Drilling! They ARE nice looking rigs!
just received a paper to sign "permit to conduct geophysical operations on 3 of my holdings. Is it customary not to be reimbursed for this?
I don’t know Tica but if it wasn’t my land and I had the royalty there I’d say “get right after it” because if they saw oil/gas there they may want drill. I would think it’s whoever has the land that they might need to pay to run their Seismac equipment over. What is the description of your holdings (royalty?) if you don’t mind telling? We have only a tiny bit of royalty in Garvin and was wondering if it is close to what you are talking about. They have forced pooled ours so we think they are intending to drill. It’s in Section 20, 2n,4w.
another correction below: Ours is Sec. 20, 2n,3w in Garvin. I’ll get it straight sooner or later. lol
I believe Preston is correct. I think lakes, rivers, and “make up areas” (because of earth curvature) cause the use of lots instead of a 1/4 of a 1/4
6-1s-3w is as far NW in carter county as you can go.
correction below: “they may want TO drill”

Linda, thanks for the info on those Cactus rigs. I haven’t looked over here on the Garvin board for a while since all the conversation is going on over at the Stephens board.
It is the Williams 1H-19

Does anyone know if “The Studdered” is the well name that’s going to be on Garvin, Sec. 20, 2n,3w? I know someone said there was going to be one called that and this one is supposed to be on Bob Studdered’s land so I thought it might be. Anybody??
Okay, thanks Rick! I though someone on here had talked about one with the name of Studdard. I guess it was the one on 19. Maybe they’ll name it Bob!
Mom in law got a check yesterday for her one third of an acre and a half on sec. 20, 2n,4 w in Garvin Co. and it was a little over $300. They had told them they were going to be forced pooled so I guess it might have been forced pooled for around a thousand an acre. Has anybody heard? If anyone has any info. on anything being done we’d appreciate it!
Probably Studdard instead of Studdered~
Linda,
“Unnamed 1H-20” is all I see.
There is a lease under the name “Studdard”.
The permit for section 19 was issued a few days after the pooling order was approved in December. I don’t see a permit for 9, 18, or 20 which have had pooling orders approved in the last few months.
Okay, 19 is the Williams. Which Section’s well is the “Studdard”? Do you know?
Hutch just told me that they are going to drill if they aren’t already on mom’s Garvin Co. Sec. 20, 2n,3w. Newfield is doing it from the NW Corner of Sec. 26 to the south of her 20. No more than she has with just one well being drilled it will only be a little chump change but if it’s good maybe they’ll drill more. Anyone know what that well is going to be named?
It may be section 20, I just don’t see where it has been filed with OCC. I have seen a few that were named when they are sending out leases proposals yet they were never filed with the OCC.
