Rick I went back and found Michael’s post . All 5 Branch are Multi - units ? I also wish my Dad was here to be part of this. It is hard to believe what is going on.
Rick have been on the phone . Thanks for info.
Received letter today. Relief Sought: Drilling and Spacing Unit for Sec. 28 3N, 4W.
Jason, Thats the first step, the process has begun!
Thank you all for the information
Sounds like good news to me for Sec. 28, 3n,4w owners! Best Wishes!
Pooling hearing 11/13/12 21-3n-4w
Continental landman told me Dicksion 1-21H in 21-3n-4w will be spud in less then 60 days.
I’m not Rick ,he must be sleeping in, but my info. sheet showed both wells drilled from 33, both have permits for locations on 33. I looked and could find no permit for location on 4.
Rick might not be back from Big D. Ron look at the permit I just posted says SHL 4-2N/4W BHL 33-3N/4W
What does SHL & BHL mean?
I know “Pig Latin” and that isn’t it! lol
Richard SHL is surface hole location. It is where the well is located on top of the ground. BHL is bottom hole location. It is where te drill bit ends up in the directional wells and where the well will obtain the products. From the records I have looked at on the horizontal wells it it used to show the start of the production laterals. They will then call out the direction and length of the laterals from that point. With many of these recent wells we are seeing production coming from section “A” but the well is located on the ground in section “B”. It causes confusion when the owners to mineral rights in section “B” are not seeing any revenue ftom a well sitting above mineral rights they own.
Notice that the SHL is very close to the section where the lateral will is drilled. After the vertical hole is drilled, the turn to the lateral, it takes about 1/4 mile to do this, then the lateral is all in the other section. The lateral is where the farcing and production takes place. There is not production in the vertical,
Thank you Daniel we have been discussing this for quite some time.
Rick, If 33 3N 4W is to be drilled from the north the SHL would need to be located a mile north of the Mashburn in 4 2N 4W that was drilled from 33 3N 4W. If so why name it Mashburn 1H 33?
Mike
I looked at it wrong. The spot location is 300’ from the south line.
It is great to hear there is good potential! Where exactly is section 7-3n,4w in relation to Lindsay?? Trying to look on Google Earth.
Rick…Thanks for the map and the video. Learned something new.
Are the wells in this area gas or oil or both??
From what Rick is saying I believe the rigs I told about along Hiway 19 as we went toward Alex/Chickasha were probably the rigs drilling the wells in your area, David.
Yes, Jackfork is the ones that leased two of our sections for Continental.
David, your profile picture doesn’t look like a David. Is that the Misses or did you parents expect you to be a boy? lol
