Received letter from Hilcorp welcoming me as a new interest owner. Supposedly they have acquired my mineral rights in an acquisition. No where in.letter is there any mention of what company interest the acquired??? Had1099 form at top right of 1099 in faint print is Apache. Any one know about this company and what is going on?? Thank you.
I received that letter yesterday and spoke with them and they said it was Apache. Not sure why the letter left that out?
Agreed. I have several leases with Apache. Are we to assume its all or some.
I wont know until i receive the division orders. Apache is completing 4 new horizontal wells in Winkler County and i heard it was not going to include those
I hope you have better luck with Hilcorp than we have. They bought out XTO and we haven’t received a check from Hilcorp in a year. When XTO was leasing we made at least $200 a year. Then seeing Hilcorp being sued for not paying mineral owners what they are owed is not encouraging. What recourse do we have? they eat up all our profits with their cost of producing the gas out of the well. We’ve had 3 different companies before them and we received much larger checks. They had a class action suit in Texas and the DOJ took them on and Hilcorp had to pay over 36 million for their shenanigans. I think they are dishonest. Just google it
Hilcorp Energy took over XTO interest in Leon County that my family has interests in. They have been quick to help us .
I got a letter from Apache right at the very end of last re resignation of operator and assigning their interests to Hilcorp. I had assumed that the leases Apache were operating on, as for my interests in Andrews County, were P&A a couple years ago (that was the indication I got when I had contacted them). Like some of you I also just got a welcome letter from Hilcorp along with a W9 to fill out. I really don’t know what’s going on
In which counties are your minerals located? I wonder if Hilcorp bought Apache’s wells in Ward County?
Lea county,New Mexico.
Received same letter. They bought out our Apache lease in Yoakum County. Section 770. Sent completed W-9 back to them.
I also received the letter. I emailed them and they said Hilcorp purchased assets from Apache in the following counties.
Andrews County, Texas
Cochran County, Texas
Gaines County, Texas
Hockley County, Texas
Terry County, Texas
Ward County, Texas
Winkler County, Texas
Yoakum County, Texas
Chaves County, New Mexico
Eddy County, New Mexico
Lea County, New Mexico
I have received no letter from Hilcorp. I received w-9 with letter saying welcome, and explanation letter to follow. It never came and I had no idea who they were, which of my leases they bought from whom. I went to Enverus which showed Apache deposits stopped at end of year and Hilcorp deposit posted in Feb. there was no Jan. Deposit posted. I don’t know if they bought all or some of my Apache wells. Now I have to start investigating where Jan. Deposit is I am not impressed!
It is not uncommon for there to be a one month delay in getting new openers and wells into the accounting system. It is excellent that you are already in pay. Look at check detail for Dec Apache check and Feb Hilcorp check and compare wells and production months. There may not be a gap between last oil or gas month paid by Apache and first month paid by Hilcorp. May be easiest to use spreadsheet with lines for each well and columns to oil, gas and products listing production month. Keep in mind that some companies pay all production for same month and others pay different months for oil vs gas and products.
My royalty pymts are usually 2 months behind.
If the Hilcorp check has production month immediately succeeding the production month on the last Apache check, then you are fully paid. Sometimes the first check from new operator will cover multiple months. You can only determine this by reviewing and comparing the check detail.
Yeah, I got the same letter from Hilcorp and notification from Apache. Poor communication all around. I received a check for RI payments today, but the check was missing our WI payment which makes up most of the income. This same thing happened years ago when BP sold to Apache. I sent an email and have not heard back about the missing income. They will be paying interest.
Apache is highly understaffed in their In House land department.
I am aware. Luckily, I have a contact and they are usually responsive.
Apache has been responsive in my dealings with them, but they also are trying to incorporate the assets they bought from Callon, which may be another cause of any delays.
