Howard County, TX - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Jon - There have been some nice horizontal wells drilled 4-5 miles to the southwest of your property but none are permitted on or near it. This could be a good area in the future.

Wow! I have gotten 2 offers. Why would there be over a $30,000 difference in offers. Is that how this works?

Sorry for all the questions. Just one more for now. I have been reading about uranium in mineral rights. This is suppose to be something that has had little discussion and to become quite valuable. The big companies are buying up people’s mineral rights for the uranium, at least that is what I have been reading. Thanks again.

Hi everyone! This is my first posting and I will begin by saying I do not know much about how to describe my property. I have mineral royalties only. As I read my descriptions, I have interests in block 31TN section 9 in Howard County and block 31T1N section 10 in Howard County. I also have a well on section 10 which is in Wise County. A new well was acquired in Oct. 2014 and began drilling on Block 31, Township 1 North, T&P RR Co. Sy. N/2 of Section 10 Howard County. That is what my paperwork says. Now I would like to know a good price to sell. The offers are wide spread. So wide spread, I know there is some real conning going on. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello again. Is it better to lease my mineral royalties or sell?

Why can’t people who respond, make offers as opposed to wanting to talk to me? I feel uncomfortable getting personal.

Would appreciate any information about the “ANCIENT SEAS” well about whether or not it has been brought into production by Finley Resources located in the section 40: E2NW4 block 32, Township 3 North, T&P Railroad Company Survey Howard County, Texas. I have a mineral interest in this well. Drilling was completed just before the bottom dropped out of oil prices. Any information would be appreciated…DJS

Clint,

This well was drilled and brought on line about three weeks ago. My coordinates were probably OFF somewhat. The well was drilled in a different location on the 80 acres. I just received this information this morning. Thanks for all your help and input for this group.

Take Care,

Don

Donald,

After checking the drilling permit for the Ancient Seas well(API 227-35693) I see where this permit was issued April 4, 2001. I don’t see a spud date for this well and makes me wonder if this well was ever drilled.

Anyone interested in the rash of offers to buy min rights being closed in Ho.Co. for up to $2k per acre? I have researched this for last 9 months intensively, based on a tip from my lawyer in Big Spring

are these offers to “buy” or “lease”?

Could anyone offer any activity/advice about Haimo energy in Howard County. thanks

Haimo Oil & Gas is a subsidiary of a Chinese company called Lanzhou Haimo Technologies Company, Ltd. I suspect they are well-funded. They’ve permitted 10 wells in Texas since March 2014. They are all vertical wells, and the majority are in Howard County.

Jack,

Haimo is a chinese group that based on the permits is drilling conventional sprayberry. All the permits are permitted to 10,000 feet.

George Cato: here’s the RRC print out. http://webapps.rrc.state.tx.us/DP/drillDownQueryAction.do?fromPubli…
stepping away from computer for a while. will check back this afternoon. Was just wondering if Haimo is active… good company… anything that would help check operations since i don’t live in Howard County. I suppose i shouldn’t worry it’s Chinese owned.

Wolfcamp: Haimo got our minerals through an assignment about a year ago. I saw the company took out a permit to drill last (i think) November. thanks

Prospector/Wolfcamp… thanks. Here’s the RRC approved permit from December. I feel kind of uneasy but who knows what about anything these days! http://webapps.rrc.state.tx.us/DP/drillDownQueryAction.do?fromPubli…

Wolfcamp Shale: Sent friend request so I can send message. Go ahead and forward property location if you want - will include contact info in message.

We have a small interest in the SW/4 of Sec. 23, Block 31, T2N (A-187). Have been contacted about leasing. Any information about lease bonus amounts for this area would be appreciated.

George, the last I heard, some groups were paying $3k/ac to lease near that area. I would be happy to forward your property information on to them if you’d like. If so, feel free to send me a message with your contact information and I can let you know what I find out.

Jack, is your question in the context of a mineral purchase or mineral lease?
