PAYNE COUNTY - Any drilling in S15-T20N-R04E?

I leased mineral rights for the E/2 of S15-T20-R04E to Red Fork (USA) Investments March 2011. I live in the state of Washington so I don't know what is going on in that area. Does anyone know of drilling or other activity near this area? Any information is appreciated, as I haven't heard anything since signing the lease.

That doesn't look like a Payne county location.

It is E/2 of Section 15, Township 20N, Range 04E, containing 320 acres, in Payne County, OK. This is how it is listed on my lease. Sorry I don't have any more info. I live in the state of Washington so I'm not able to check out any activity that might be occurring there.

The nearest drilling I can find is in Sec 21 - 20N - 02E

What has happened since you made this post? My section is 14-20n-4e.

Nothing has happened since the lease was signed. Haven't heard about any activity for this area, so I guess nothing is planned yet.

Thanks Terri, I am practically next door to your mineral interests so I’ll keep you apprised of developments in Range 4E.

Thanks so much, Thomas!! Your help is much appreciated.

Terri,

They are drilling about 10 miles straight west of you on Yost Rd. The rig went in about a month ago & is supposed to be drilling horizontally. The location was built with all 'unmarked' trucks so I'm not sure who the operator is. The rig is 'Flex Rig HP 378' I think. I live on Yost, so drive past the rig daily. Want a pic? ;-)

Hey, thanks for the info. Maybe someday they will drill in our area. In addition to the mineral rights I leased in Section 15, I also just signed a lease with Devon Energy for NE/4 Section 8, Township 20N, Range 4E. This section 8 has been force pooled and they are definitely going to drill here (may already have started??). My brothers tell me that they don't believe there is much oil there and that it wouldn't be very good quality, but who knows. With all the new technology, maybe it will be a gusher!!!!

Sure - a pic would be great, if it's no trouble!

Terri, et al

For what it's worth, Devon is now offering us 2.5 times the rate they did last summer for access to run 3D seismic mapping on our 80 acres. They are using GoldStar Land Services and I'll bet other holdouts on section 14 are getting the same offer.

Red Fork contacted us about 45 days ago about a drilling site on our surface acres but have not called again. Given the relative size of Devon (large), I'm guessing Red Fork is simply playing for a minority share of a Devon operation.

Thomas Barclay

GoldStar is offering $10/acre in our area to map.

Still getting letters in the mail wanting to buy our mineral interests. They are only up to $1000/acre so far.

Probably will, the leaches are all over the place. Some are offering upto $2500 per acre.

The Commision docket has some hearings for T20 R4E the week of 1/21/2013

I am new to the group. I have 180 acres in Sec 1 T20 3E. Just for grins, what kind of offer would approach being fair? I have received about 5 different offers for up to $1325/acre which I politely refused.

The docket of CC has several pooling requests for T20 3E and other requests in T20 4E week of 1/21/13
