Would you want to send me a friend request and I will send you my # or we can do it here, I just type slow . What sec. township and range is it .
Teri is your 150 acres leased now ?
Ronald Von Wilson, Newfield described the Anadarko Basin as “big as the Grand Canyon”. (underground of course) Continental Resources said it would “rival the Bakken Shale in North Dakota”.
Martha if you will send me an email address, through a friend request if you don’t want to post it on the forum, I will seen you a copy of some terms you need in you lease . I would like to talk to you about how the poolings works and about how you might get some cash bonus with the 1/4 under the pooling .
Ron, My 80 acres is in Sec 17-19N-1W and that section has not been forced pool. I have an offer to lease for 3yrs, no bonus and 1/4 royalty interest. Devon has drilled new wells in Section 21 below me, but I do not know where they TD the horizontals.
Teri here are completion reports on two wells north of you . When did you sign your lease ?
Payne: Devon Energy Production Co. LP; Leigh 8-19N-3E No. 1MH Well; NE1/4 SW1/4 SE1/4 SE1/4 (SL) of 08-19N-03E; 107 barrels oil per day, 422,000 cu-ft gas per day; TD 9,071.
Devon Energy Production Co. LP; SOS 36-19N-2E No. 1WH Well; NE1/4 SW1/4 SE1/4 SW1/4 (SL) of 36-19N-02E; 571 barrels oil per day, 685,000 cu-ft gas per day; TD 9,448.
Ron,
Thank You so much. If I am reading these right, I see the well drilled into the mississippian is producing approx 234 and the one in the Woodford is producing about 298 barrels of oil per day. Is that correct? This is just about 1/2 to 1 mile West of our farm on W. 56th st (Mulhall Road). Our lease just renewed in July. So Devon has it for another three years. I believe the well they are drilling in our section is almost complete. I am still struggling with what to do. Just want to make the best decision for our family.
Teri, Big things are happening in Oil/Gas. Today Wall Street Journal reported that Devon and Crosstex Energy will combine the companies’ pipelines, processing plants, rail terminals and other oil and natural gas infrastructure. At times like this I read Psalm 27:14
Teri, New technology will give you more oil/gas. You might find this interesting. http://carnegieendowment.org/2013/04/17/world-s-growing-oil-resourc…
PS 27:14 words of wisdom that have been guiding force for me all of my life. Martha, interesting that regarding big things of Okla, Payne and Logan Counties, is the news today that the Spectra Natural Gas Pipeline has gon through all of the whordes of Ner Yorker crying and protests, and will be in operation less than 2 weeks from now. Imagine the market, and the cost of Natural Gas will start to go up, Boone Pickens knows his stuff.
Martha,
Wow!! Thank You what a interesting article. I am so glad this site for mineral owners is here. You all are a great help to us.
Ron Von Wilson, Energy News reports that Spectra Energy Partners (SEP)announced it would assume all the remaining pipeline and storage facilities from Spectra Energy (SE), the company it was spun out of in 2007. When the deal closes – by year end – Spectra Energy Partners expects to be one of the largest fee-based MLPs in the United States.
Martha, I didn’t know about the Wall Street Journal article. So interesting and such amazing work going on right in our own backyards. You are right Very big things are happening in oil and gas. Thanks for the scripture. I read it and the words put my heart and mind at rest.
Teri, M Barnes commented on Logan page that a well was spud from 6-18N-1W. Four wells are coming from that location into four different sections. 31-19N-1W, 6-18N-1W, 36-18N-2W and 1-18N-2W.
Martha, Do you know exactly what that means for us? I mean we only own the minerals in sec 6 18N 1W. I assume you are only paid royalty on the oil/gas coming out of your section.
Teri, You need to know what your horizontal drilling and spacing unit acreage is, as horizontal units can be 660 acres instead of 640 acres. Also, Devon has drilled Mississippian wells and Woodford wells, but there can be deeper formations. You might want to contact and join http://www.naro-us.org/Oklahoma because they have educational literature online or they can mail it to you. NARO has everything you need to know.
Martha, HZ units can be up to 1280ac.
1280 ac are called Multiunit and will have an x in well name. They cost less per acre to drill , if nothing goes wrong, then two well one on each section.
Thanks Jordan, I did not know the largest horizontal unit size. Do you know if 1280ac is the absolute maximum or can they be even larger?
