Payne County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Barry are you listed on the Pooling ? Are you sure the tract is not held by production ?

If you want to answer my friend request I will give you my # if you like . HBP is when the interest is help by an old lease that has no depth clause and has a producing well .

Berry this might help and they started another well under 7 to Miss. in April

Thanks Ron, I sent them a copy of our records from the county clerk showing our ownership in that section.

I could find no production from other wells in 7-17n-4e so it looks like HBP is out .

Barry, If Devon accidentally did not lease or force pool your mineral acreage and drilled a well you might now have a working interest which is not the same as a royalty interest in that well or wells. OCC can help you with understanding this type of situation or contact NARO which is the Oklahoma chapter of National Association of Royalty Owners at 918-794-1660 http://www.naro-us.org/Oklahoma

If he was left out he will have the option of R.I. or W.I. or leasing to a third party .

Barry and Ron, Yes, if Barry was left out he does have the option of Royalty Interest or Working Interest. However, if a well has been drilled and it is producing oil and/or gas Barry’s mineral ownership might be worth a lot more than if there was no well and no production as would be the case in the pre-production leasing stage. In a situation like this a mineral owner would be very wise to seek the advise of an attorney and be fully aware of their options and their abilities to make the most of the situation financially. NARO can help inform the mineral owner also. I always use the analogy: If you are selling or leasing a car you should first know what type of car you have and what it is worth.

No, but I’ve not seen the listing with “dismissed” on it before.
What is that? I think the wells was completed in May 2013. What do you mean held by production?

They normally lease the entire section.

Barry did you accept my friend request ?

Here’s a website that may help all mineral owners understand the need to contact an oil/gas attorney when they have problems concerning anything and everything related to their mineral ownership. Scroll down to Title 52 Oil and Gas and click on it. It may take a while to download. It’s Oklahoma Law and it can be used to protect your rights. http://www.oklegislature.gov/osStatuesTitle.html

The Energy Harbinger reports: “In Kay County Oklahoma Austex (AOK) is a company that’s taking a different approach to the Mississippi Lime. While the big companies are using data from the Lime’s old vertical wells to “delineate” acreage (the formation has a lot of historical production), it’s drilling new vertical wells with new technology to find oil. Once a high producing area is found, clusters of verticals can be drilled at 20 to 40 acre spacing. It’s early on, but the results of the program are looking solid.”

Thomas Barclay, Red Fork filed Intent To Drill API # 3511924094. Spud date was 09/11/2013 pending orders B33553:B33552. Woodford is the target formation in this GREAT WHITE 1-14H horizontal well. No Completion Report yet.

Have copy of lease offer. How do I run it by the forum per Ron’s suggestion

SECTION 10-19N-1W LEASE OFFER FROM BROKER:

$400 per acre bonus for 3/16 share. I’m new to this business. Any thoughts or comments? Counter at ? Accept? Wait?

Ron, Thank you for all your help.

Ron, That Peach well is a good example of oil well on top of anticline next to fault. Miss. is somewhat eroded in my Sec 17 with that tricky fault, but the Woodford is present.

Any information about completed wells on 14-20n-4e? Red Fork seems to have completed the drilling of two wells. One has been fracked and the second is to be fracked later this month. One of these wells (or the site) is named Great White.
