Thanks for the info. I had read an article which mentioned these two wells and I was curious as to where the exact locations were. I just try to keep up with the drilling activity in Roosevelt since I have several acres in the county near the ND border.

just put in “Samson” as operator and there is some specs on the two wells!!
Does anyone know the locations of the Gretel II and Australia II wells in Roosevelt County (Township/Range/Section)? I believe that Samson Oil and Gas is the operator. Also, does anyone know the current status of these wells?
Gretel ll and Australia ll are on the Fort Peck Reservation I believe;
still looking on Eser.org for more precise location.

Thanks for the info. I figured some activity nearby had to be occurring since they all name this specific area. Maybe they will eventually drilll on my minerals.
Does anyone know of any activity near T30N;R58E;Section 12? I have minerals in several areas including this area and today I recieved the fourth letter in regards to buying my minerals in that particular area. None of the buyout letters refer to the other areas. There must be something planned or happening nearby to arouse such an interest.

Has anyone heard of Montana Lease Holdings LLC or Open Range Ventures LLC?
What have you heard about them?

Sounds like a couple of lease brokers trying to get some mineral leases before the area begins to heat up. I have never heard of either but look to see several new broker firms in this area as time goes on. I would be very careful in dealing with some of thesr type companies.
Thats exactly why I am asking for info, I have never heard of them and they have no presence on the web that I can find.

I would recommend Laura also. We were involved in a case with one of Lauras NEIGHBORS and she was very fair; she is a mediator for the courts also!!!
Be sure you have a knowledgible lawyer before you think about signing. We have used Laura Christoffersen(sp) in Culbertson and she has a good handle on the area, pricing and players and reasonable pricing as well.
I too would recommend Laura Christoffersen. She did our legal work in 2003 and price was resonable and work was done efficiently and on time.
Does anyone know the current bonus amounts for Roosevelt County?
It is a Whiting well;It had a bunch of workover in November/December;;total reported oil to MT as of Feb 29th is 12004 BBLs;;not too bad, and will show better in March and later as oil went over $100 a bbl than and we will see about $93 at the wellhead!!! This is the French 21-30TFH!

I would expect division orders in May!! Not a high producer, but not bad for Montana!!! I know the Thomsens and Olsens that have part of the French well!!
