Just sent DOs for Briars. all 4 of them! I just scan them and email them to [email protected]. Easy!
Looks like oil is back up some this morning. Bloomberg is saying Brent is up to about $56.90 and heating oil up to approx. $180.51. Didn’t see what WTI was. Anybody know?
Linda,
Haven’t seen SPOT but the March furure contract is trading up 2.90 to $ 51.35 at the moment
Yes, Vicki…I remember that you told me that now!
Was sent this link this morning:

No, it doesn’t affect your ability to lease. It may benefit you since that’s one hurdle an operator needs to jump in order to drill. You can see the order on OCC web site the case number is 201308243.

Mar 15 is $51.35 for oil, $2.61 NYMEX Nat Gas
One less hurdle.

Location exception for Marathon section 16 2n 5w.
This is a section where we have interests. What does it mean for us? (We had a lease with Marathon here that ran out in Dec. and are in negotiations to lease to another company. Does this affect our ability to lease?)

Any update on fracking of Gentry 1-11H-02X Well??
Hello and Happy Sunday! I have a question that I know a few can answer because we share the same ownership. If I have ownership in Velma Tussy and the Humphreys Sand Unit and Velma Sims & Velma Sims Sand Unit; should I have received any royalties are division orders? Last; had there been any leasing in Sec 14 1S 5W since the Shale boom? I’m asking because the only paperwork I have seen was from Marathon on 19 1S 4W.
K Dawn,
If you are already in a unit, they only send a letter for any new wells and not a division order for the reservoirs included in the unit.
Last leasing in 14 1S 5W was in June and July of 2014. Quite a bit of it was unitized in Jan 2014 by LE Jones.
Thank you M Barnes! Do you have some more information about LE Jones leasing in that section? Did any of the leasing affect the Romine property in Section 14 1S 5W? How much did they lease for? I know that we are held by production with Chevron; but it doesn’t seem fair that my family only receives $11.00 a month when we own 90 acres in that section that has a handful of barely producing oil wells and shallow H-wells at 8000ft that don’t generate more than $100000.00 a year and there is SCOOP under them that could be retrieved and sent to market. I formally requested that Chevron release me from my lease; but I got a letter from Brannon Guldner that said they respectfully decline my request because of the producing wells. Does anyone have anymore insight about this? I want to thank everyone for all of their help over the last year; learning gas & oil is pretty challenging and you smart one’s are very patient and I appreciate that. Hoping for more gas than oil! lol!
Welcoming 2015!
K Dawn
I get excited about this; but I just feel boxed in by Chevron and I’m just trying to get something going for me and my Aunt Pat. Even if it is a small amount we should still try for it; right? I was always told; something from something is something; something from nothing is nothing. We used this concept when selling cars referring taking a small profit and make the sale rather than let a customer walk in hopes of making a bigger profit on the same car with a different buyer; but the saying works for many things in life!
Thanks, Martha
They made me an offer, twice I sent the same counter offer but never heard back from them. I wanted 1/4th with no bonus.
Ticks me off when people don’t reply.
Has Bearcat’s leasing in the center of 2S 4W died?
M Barnes, Oh well! Something is bound to happen. We are included in a few that are being drilled. So far I know of the Clarence & Foster in 29 1S 5W by XTO and one in 19 1S 4W HKDOOM by Marathon that should be online sometime this year! I can see that Marathon has that SE corner with section 1, 2, and 11, 12 and 13. So if they stay in pattern right there; 14 should be included! What a generational blessing!..The winds of change might be coming our way!
Thanks Linda. Things not slowing down too much (yet?) in the SCOOP. We are so fortunate to have a few acres in this area!
Thanks, Linda, I will try thay
